Ecoagricola Tropical Fermentation
Our new Chosen by Members coffees are both an exciting and interesting addition to our range. These coffees have been chosen by our Coffee Club members from a shortlist supplied by our coffee broker, Mercanta. Members have the opportunity to vote on the coffee they would like us to roast!
For our first Chosen by Members coffee we have a tropical fermentation coffee from Ecoagricola Serra do Cabral in Brazil. Only ripe cherries are harvested by hand and then stored for 24 hours in bags under the coffee trees. This allows the to undergo a period of dry or ‘tropical’ fermentation, which is only possible due to the very dry climate in the region.
We only have a single 20kg roast of this coffee, which equates to one batch in our roaster! Once it's gone, it's gone!
