Familia Alcaraz 250g


Familia Alcaráz is a small 6 hectare farm in the Antioquia region of Colombia. The region experiences intermittent rains during the flowering stage of the coffee plant. This extends the picking season and therefore reduces the amount of cherries picked each day. To be more efficient during processing they pulp each days harvest on top of the previous to make a larger batch.

The side effect of this process is that it raises the pH and avoids any vinegary taints which can sometimes affect the coffee. The fruity character of the coffee is also increased.

Expect flavours of blackcurrant, peach and liquorice with a honey sweetness.
