Choosing a Grind
We would always advise buying coffee in wholebean form and grinding at home.
This ensures all the exciting aromatics are retained in the coffee and you will definitely taste them in the brewed coffee.
Grinding coffee just before you brew makes a significant difference to the quality of the final cup.
This is the coarsest grind setting we offer and as its name suggests, it is suitable for cafetiere (coffee press, french press) brewing.
This is a medium grind suitable for filter brewing methods. This would include manual brewing methods such as the V60 or filter brewing machines.
If you brew using the inverted method in an Aeropress, this grind might also work well for you.
This is the finest grind we offer and is suitable for traditional brewing in an Aeropress.
Espresso requires a very specific grind which is linked to the type of machine used. As there are so many different manufacturers on the market, it is difficult for us to grind coffee effectively for espresso.
We would always advise purchasing a specific grinder for espresso.
