The Caniari Cooperative
The Caniari Amazonian Ecological Agricultural Cooperative or CAECAM are a cocoa producers' organization, established on September 11, 2022, in the Von Humboldt district, Padre Abad province, in the Ucayali region.
They were founded with the goal of uniting efforts and improving the production, marketing, and sustainability of cocoa cultivation in our area.
The cooperative began with 30 producers from various local communities who decided to organise themselves to work collaboratively, committed to responsible and high-quality agriculture. Thanks to a collective commitment and sustained growth, they now have 202 active members, solidifying their position as a strong organisation dedicated to rural development and the well-being of families.
