Part of our Origin Editions, this Peruvian 60% Hot Chocolate utilises cocoa from the Caniari Cooperative in Peru.

This chocolate has a mildly fruity character; sweet and moreish.

We believe our Peruvian Hot Chocolate to be vegan but it has been made in a facility that handles milk on the same production line.

The Caniari Cooperative

The Caniari Amazonian Ecological Agricultural Cooperative or CAECAM are a cocoa producers' organization, established on September 11, 2022, in the Von Humboldt district, Padre Abad province, in the Ucayali region.

They were founded with the goal of uniting efforts and improving the production, marketing, and sustainability of cocoa cultivation in our area.

How to Make Our Hot Chocolate

You can make our hot chocolate using any one of three simple methods.

Use 35g of chocolate flakes to 220ml of milk. Then use any of the following methods.
OLD SCHOOL

On the Stove

Pour the milk and chocolate flakes into a pan and warm on the stove, whisking throughout. Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy!
QUICK & EASY

In the Microwave

Place the chocolate flakes into your favourite mug. Stir in the milk and microwave for around 2 minutes, stirring part way through. Stir and enjoy!
BARISTA METHOD

On an Espresso Machine

Add milk and then chocolate flakes to a jug. Heat using your steam wand, adding a little air to give a nice foamy finish. Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy!
