Brewing our teas
Brewing our teas is pretty straight forwards but you will get the most out of them if you follow some simple instructions.
Black Teas
Use 3g of tea to every 225 ml water.
We suggest a water temperature of 95ºC for black teas.
Brew for 3-5 minutes depending on your preferred strength.
Degrees of oxidisation
Black teas are usually the most oxidised of all teas. This process creates the dark colour as well as the character in the cup.
Milk or No Milk?
Not all teas take milk well. For those that do the decision to add milk (or sugar) has to be a personal one. Our advice is to always try it black first. You never know, you might prefer it!
