Carvetii Open Day 9th & 10th May 2015

UK coffee week is a time of year when the coffee industry unites to raise money for clean water projects in two coffee producing countries, Rwanda and Tanzania. Carvetii’s involvement this year is twofold: on the 1st May we travel down to the London Coffee Festival where we’ll be serving our coffee on the Artisan Cafe. It’s the third year we’ve been invited to take part in this event and this year we’ll be taking along a young barista from Cumbria as a little recognition for all the hard work they’ve put in to serve our coffee to a high standard.

Our second involvement is a lot closer to home. We’ll be opening the doors of our Roastery to the public over the weekend of the 9th and 10th May. You’ll be able to drop in on us throughout the day to have a look around, drink some coffee and stock up on coffee beans. Coffee will be sold on a donations basis with 100% of the money going to UK Coffee Week.

Over the course of each day we’ll also be running some coffee brewing demos and some coffee cupping (or tasting) sessions. These will be free to attend though any donations will be greatly appreciated. The Roastery will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on both days.
